The Australian Water R&D Coalition was initiated following OzWater 2010. Since then, members have met quarterly to understand and share information on their respective business models, discuss and agree core areas of interest, and discuss opportunities for alignment of effort and joint funding initiatives.

The AWRDC’s terms of reference provide for small projects or consultancies, workshops, communication products and other activities, as agreed by the AWRDC.

The 2012 work program included development of promotional material, the AWRDC logo and website, and attendance at relevant conferences, including an AWRDC workshop held at OzWater 2012.

The OzWater 2012 workshop provided participants with an opportunity to hear more about the AWRDC, included discussion on the concept of urban water brokers, and explored participants’ views on a range of initiatives. Further information on participants' interest areas can be found on our Publications and downloads page (see the document titled 'AWRDC members research theme mapping').
